Macedonian Australian Community Organisation “Vardar”
The Macedonian Australian Community Organisation was officially established in 2003 by a handful of young and dedicated Australians of Macedonian decent. During this period our organisation had an increasing number of members and supporters, thus the interest to gain a premises was high and in demand. In 2005 the premises of the MACO was established in Malaga, thanks to in-kind donations and financial support by its members. In a short period of time, through continued support, we helped the community interact through many social activities and events. In the following years to come, thanks to the two Lotterywest grants that we received, the frequent and increasing daily use of our premises and the large volume of members, we have been able to grow and become one of the biggest Macedonian communities in Western Australia.
From our daily opening hours, right through to our special events, we strive to promote and unite the Macedonian and wider community in Perth and beyond. Thanks to our dedicated committee & volunteers, we are able to create memorable and lasting moments for all communities. The MACO is proud to be the home of hundreds of members, and members of other communities. And of course for those who visit us daily, come for a drink at our bar, have lunch in our hall and socialize. Whatever the occasion, the MACO is ready!
Now that our expansion and renovation is complete, we can offer a wide range of options for community or private use. The club is available for weddings, Christenings, engagements, birthdays and other occasions. We also have dedicated bar and kitchen staff available, where we also offer catering options. Different table decoration options are also available.
Our mission is to establish a multicultural center & promote the Macedonian culture and values to all members of the community.
